Motocross is an individual sport and we love it! However, as parents of a racer in an individual sport, we have struggled with issues that are unique to our sport. A few of our personal challenges have been:
- Motivation
- Consistent Practice Time
- Coach is Mom or Dad
- No friends to ride or practice with
- Continue to improve skills
- Friends at school "don't get" motocross
- No one to share goals or accomplishments with other than parents or siblings
What became interesting to us over the last couple years was when the motocross season started to wind down and it was time for our son to start football. We noticed that all of the "challenges" we struggled with all summer with our son and motocross seemed to disappear when football started. I know, I know, some of you are thinking, "Maybe the kid just likes football better. Motocross isn't his sport." Sorry, wish it were that simple. He loves motocross and hopes to be a pro someday!
What we started to realize was that the fun and camaraderie our son experienced with his team mates in football was something we couldn't give him in an individual sport such as motocross.
??.or could we?
Yes, motocross is an individual sport, buy why can't racers have team mates?
Why shouldn't motocross racers experience the same fun, motivation and camaraderie that kids who play traditional sports have?
If kids that race motocross can't share their achievements with friends at school, why not share it with other racers?
If kids at school "don't get" motocross or don't believe what you did over the weekend, why don't they check out your Profile or Web Site with your latest race photos and videos?
KixsQuest.com is taking a bold new approach to the individual sport of motocross. We're celebrating the sport by dedicating our entire web site to it. We are also giving racers an opportunity to bring the benefits of team mates and friendly team competition to motocross racing. KixsQuest.com is offering racers an opportunity to create their own teams. In doing that we are giving them their own actual website to show case their race results, personal accomplishments, race photos, videos, sponsors and anything else they would like to share about the sport they love! Your friends won't have to wonder what motocross racing is all about anymore?.just invite them to KixsQuest.com!
