massage therapy By motoaunt | Mon Jun 04, 2007 at 11:36:55 PM EST massage therapy for the motocross rider

my name is patricia a. madden lmt, nctmb. i am a medical massage therapist located in fort myers, fl. my newphew is a motocross rider. even at the age of 12 he gets very sore back muscles from practice riding and racing. i give him massages as often as i can when i get to see him, but he does do his stretching and that really helps him.  i just want to stress to all of you riders how important it is to take good care of your bodies, by getting as many regular massages as you possibly can. the impact of the motocross race on your muscles is tremendous. every muscle in your body is being used while riding. it is so important to maintain your flexability by keeping the muscles as relaxed both before and after the race as possible. this can be achieved by simply stretching the muscles as much as possible, along with getting massages. when the muscles are relaxed, the stretching will lengthen the muscle fibers, which will increase new blood flow and oxygen into the sore muscle tissues, where healing and loosening will begin to take place. when the muscles are relaxed the chance of severe injury during a crash is minimized. let's just say... "you are better prepared to roll with the punches"

go to my web site. www. maddensmassagetherapy.com for instructions and illustrations of stretches for all the different muscles. if you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call at 239-565-6374. ride safe and relaxed!!!!
