Kixsquest @ Spring Creek By Team-Kixsquest | Tue May 06, 2008 at 01:40:36 PM EST This was our first time camping at Spring Creek and it was a blast!  First of all, it's nestled in a beautiful valley about 20 minutes from Wabasha, Minnesota (home of Grumpier Old Men) and it's quite scenic.  It's not that often that you'll hear motocross and scenic in the same sentence, but Spring Creek has bragging rights to both.

Spring Creek is an awesome facility for several reasons.  First of all, the track - meticulously groomed, great ruts, the infamous whoops, technical, long and great for spectators.  It's also got a pee wee track, a bmx track, a creek running thru it for kids to play, a play yard/swing set (very important when you have a 3 year old) and a good speaker system! Of course, we can't forget Jane's Mini Donuts! Every time I turned around my kids were running off to buy a bag. I lost count of how many bags they polished off over the weekend!!

But, what impressed me the most was how professional, organized and friendly the staff  were.  It set the tone for a great day of racing.    They started Sunday morning with a prayer lead by Kevin Cozadd.  This was followed by the riders meeting. They also  announced that Spring Creek has zero tolerance for parents that "go-off" on their kids.  They said they recognize that this was a regional race for Loretta Lynn's and the pressure was high, but they would escort anyone out that was not acting in accordance with this policy.  All I can say is Amen to that policy!  After the national anthem, the racing began and it was top notch.

Oh!  And I have to say thanks to whomever turned in the wallet we lost.  There was no name in it and yet, some very honest person turned it in.    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
