Supercross Chat

Anaheim III was another win for James Stewart. He is the first rider ever to sweep all three Anaheim rounds in the premier class. The race was exciting because Chad Reed never let #7 out of his sight for 20 laps. Cycle News reported that "The two put on a great show in front of a near capacity crowd at Angel Stadium, the last Anaheim Supercross of "07, with Reed even chasing down and passing Stewart for the lead at one point." They said in the report that Stewart tried pulling away, but didn't. His gap over Reed never grew much more than three seconds. Reed was making up time in a rhythm section where Stewart said, "He was doing this double-triple thing - I did it in practice and I never did it again. I was kind of wondering where he was making up the time, and they told me at the end of the race that's where it was happening."
MX Race Tip: Look Ahead

One of the big topics you will hear from all the Motocross Skills instructors is "Look Ahead". They tell students..."Keep your head up with your eyes scanning the upcoming track as far ahead as possible."

Hey, I don't know if any of you watch Wife Swap but on Monday, February 5th, the show is about a Motocross Mom who swaps lives with a Mom who worships Mother Earth and talks to fairies! Yes, you did read that right! The preview looked pretty interesting. It airs on ABC at 7 pm central time.
Motivation from Gary Semics
By motomom | Mon Jan 01, 2007 at 11:45:52 AM EST
This is from the Gary Semics Motocross Practice Manual. The subject is PRICE. "Everything has a price. Whatever we want in life, we must give up something to get it. The greater the value, the greater the sacrifice required. There is a high price to pay for success. But we must realize that the rewards of true success are well worth the effort. The highway to success is a toll road."
